Driver Safety:

All drivers must wear flame resistant articles with the appropriate tag on them. Driver's Suit must be fire resistant (Nomex). It is recommended that a 2-layer suit be used, but a one-layer suit with Nomex underwear will be acceptable. Gloves need to be a minimum of 2-layer Nomex. Shoes should be approved for racing. Neck collars and are restraints are required.


Car Specifications:

  • Engine cannot exceed 640cc, aside form that anything goes.
  • Kawasaki 636 engines must retain stock bore and stroke.
  • Any carburetor or fuel injection system is allowed.
  • May run gasoline or methanol.
  • No fuel additives allowed. Pure methanol only... This means no M3 or M5, or other "enhanced" methanol, this will be checked.
  • Bladders ARE NOT MANDATORY for this year but are highly recommended. They will be mandatory for 2010.
  • No forced air induction or nitrous systems.
  • Cars must be equipped with a working clutch and starter. Car must be able to start and take off under own power at the beginning of event.
  • Mufflers with packing are mandatory with muffler being firmly attached to either the chassis or nerfbar.
  • Car weight will be a minimum of 780lbs.
  • All Tires on car must be Hoosier Tires.
  • Hoosiers on all four corners and compounds allowed for the right rear are D35, NMMA, or ASCS2(ASCS2 will be the only legal compound stamp for 2010) and must durometer 50 before and after the race
  • Fire walls are mandatory between driver and engine.
  • Wings can be any size.
  • No radio or in-car communication allowed.
  • No Traction Control.
